Unsung Heroes – the Hibailes

Our friends, Dr. Augustin Hibaile and his wife Marie Helene are literally “holding down the fort” in the Central African Republic (C.A.R.)! During these months of war, they have assumed the responsibility of managing the Guest House in Bangui. Always willing to help anyone in need, they have offered sanctuary and the love of Christ to hundreds of people during this time of crisis in the C.A.R.

Dr. Hibaile is founder of the Center International for the Development of Ethical Leadership (CIDEL), a ministry to those in positions of authority. Through his ministry, he has conducted seminars on ethical leadership, the prevention of corruption and other related topics to numerous government officials. Leaders from the Ministries of Finance, Justice, Defense, Public Security, and Interior have benefited from his training. He also a member of the faculty at the University of Bangui.

His wife Marie Helene is a graduate from the Bata Bible Institute. She is currently the National President of the Women of the Good News. She is involved in the ministry of True Love Waits and True Love Stays which are sponsored by a Community Development Organization.

Dr. Hibaile and Marie Helene are working with Three Strands to provide pastoral counseling and post-traumatic stress classes. They are also training others how to provide PTSD care. This war has pitted neighbor against neighbor and we cannot fathom the number of “walking wounded” all over the C.A.R. Thank you Dr. & Mrs. Hibaile for your commitment to love and serve.
