The Three Strands Team

Matt and Gloria

Matt & Gloria

We are glad to be able to help Three Strands by using our skills to work on finances and database management. We are also thankful to have this opportunity to be involved in ministry with friends, and excited to be a part of what God is doing through Three Strands. Matt has worked in finance at a local manufacturing company for the past 15 years, and Gloria handles contributions at a local para-church organization.

Doug Courter

I desire to be used in Three-Strands because of my burden for Africa, my friendship with Mike Taylor and my desire to use my skills and abilities in computer technology to further His work. I’m the Associate Pastor of Church Ministries at Valley Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD. In the fall of 2001 I began teaching Information Technology classes part-time at Hagerstown Community College, including teaching at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, a prison outside of Hagerstown.

Leah Wadkins

Leah first encountered Three Strands at the Global Health Missions Conference last year, where the Lord spoke to her in some pretty powerful ways. It was here that she began to challenge her original plans of working in medicine only stateside. Leah joined Three Strands in Haiti in March of 2013 where she further developed her heart for international work. Currently a PA student in Georgia, she now dreams of using the knowledge and the talents she’s been blessed with to work abroad in the future. Channeling her creative side, Leah has taken up the long lost art of handwritten cards to write Thank You notes to our wonderful donors.

I’m married, 27 years to David who is also serving as a physician on the board of Three Strands. We have three children, Allyson, Jacob and Katy. God gifted us each with different passions. Mine is design. I love to make it, see it, live with it. And I’m excited to be able to use my creativity in the form of graphic design to help form the look and get the word out about Three Strands.

Brenda has been in love with the people of the Central African Republic since her first visit in 2008. She is pictured here with her Project Hope & Charité Sponsor Child from Bangui, Delphin. A lover of all things visual (photography, graphic design and creating videos) she uses her passion for the visual arts for Three Strands, Hand in Hand Orphan Schools and her church in Hilliard, OH.  She and her hubby of 20 years, Terry, live in Dublin, OH with their furry children, Godiva and Harriet.

I am excited to join Three Strands due to my strong desire to empower others. I have spent the last 10 years working with children on the autism spectrum and am excited to help more children with Three Strands.  I also enjoy writing and write a blog on mental health and neuropsychiatric conditions. I hope to bring my passion for helping others and my strong writing abilities to Three Strands.
