Anti-Balaka burn their amulets

Recently, our friend and co-worker, Dr. Hibaile, wrote a miraculous report from the Central African Republic. He told us that,

“God is still saving sinners for his kingdom!”

Dr. Hibaile and his wife were in a village 55 km from Bangui for a session of a one-month training provided by Pastors “I” and “A”. God turned this training into a time of repentance when two men, “S” and “A”, active Anti-Balakas, renounced the pagan practices and violence of the group. After repenting, both men went home and returned with their amulets and all of the evil things they used while they were active with the Anti-Balakas. They wanted to ceremoniously burn their amulets and other evil things!

After Dr. Hibaile’s class on strategic alliance of leadership training, he met with the two men to listen to their stories of repentance. Dr. Hibaile encouraged the pastors to invite the board of the Union of the Grace Brethren Churches for a public ceremony of burning the evil things and amulets. Dr. and Mrs. Hibaile were able to advise and pray with the “new” men.

Please join us in praying for pastors “I” and “A” as they continue their ministry in this time of crisis in the country. They are facing very strong opposition from some people in the village who are not in favor of their ministry.

Three Strands was there during this month-long training—thanks to support from our generous donors, we covered some food costs as well as medical care for attendees.

Lives changed for now and eternity! To God be the glory!
