…a cup of cold water to one of these little ones…
Sharp knife, small distraction, deep cut, need stitches.
Wrap it, bumpy moto ride, get to clinic, wait while someone goes to buy water.
What?
That’s exactly what might have happened last week at the Three Strands’ Clinic in Bangui.
Praise God, next week will be different!
Last week, we would wait in line to pay $.04 for 5 gallons of water which we’d haul 300 yards in less-than-pristine yellow jugs to be used for our medical needs.
Non-medical needs were met with dirty water from a hand dug well.
On Monday, we will have fresh water that services the clinic as well as the surrounding community!
Our friends at Water For Good told us that 7-8 wells are needed in this region. Thanks to you and praise to God, we are now one of two fresh-water wells in the community!
In addition to life-giving water, this well will also provide full time work for one, maybe two, “well managers.”
A huge thank you to our friends at Water for Good!
“…And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”
